TOPICS OF CONVERSATION - "Real World Problems – Real World Revit Solutions: Model Management"
This November 2008 RevitDC session is a special panel discussion on issues common to most Revit users. This unique panel session will highlight issues encountered by some of the most experienced Revit users in the Washington DC area. They will be sharing real-life examples of how using and implementing Revit in their firms caused them to change and behave differently about how they produced their work. This structured problem/solution format will chronologically frame the issues, as they would naturally occur, in using Revit on projects in a design firm. The panel members will provide their perspective on how they approached and dealt with the common issues for Revit users faced when working in a modeled environment. Some of the topics discussed will include the proper setup and use of the correct template as a critical first step to a successful Revit project, how to manage data between several disciplines and still maintain modeling accuracy, the principles of file linking, exchanging data between linked files and how to avoid and resolve conflicts with design teams by work division between Revit users. This session will be repeated at Autodesk University on December 3 at 3:00pm in session number AB214-3.
